Warheads End Cook Streak
Tuesday, July 26th , 2061
Philadelphia third baseman Dan Cook came into today's game against the Amarillo Warheads on a hot streak. He left on a cold one.

The Warheads did their jobs well, beating the Philadelphia Liberty U-21, 3-2, and holding Cook hitless to snap his 26-game hitting streak. The 21-year-old third baseman had a few words to say after finishing 0-for-4, telling reporters only that he "came up short."

"What Dan did was exciting and quite an achievement," said Liberty U-21 manager Santiago Paez. "It's tough enough to get one hit in this league, much less go 26 games in a row. I'm even more proud of the way he handled the press coverage. He never let the frenzy get to him or affect his play."

Currently Cook has 10 home runs and a .309 batting average.
