Hit Streak Now at 20 for Thompson Friday, July 28th , 2062 Win or lose, Carroll Thompson just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 2 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 20 games. The Bethlehem Angel Kitties shortstop went 2-for-5, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated, 7-4, by the Watford City Trash Pandas at Kittie Park. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Carroll Thompson singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and grounded out in the 9th. This year, Thompson has hit at a .304 clip with 76 hits, 14 home runs, 36 RBIs and 37 runs scored. |
