Hunt, López Receive 3-Game Suspensions Saturday, July 29th , 2062 When fights happen, suspensions are not far behind. That axiom was held to be true today when Tijuana's James Hunt and Surprise's Jesús López were given a temporary vacation from the game, courtesy of the league commissioner's office. They both were suspended for 3 games for their actions in a recent ruckus between the two teams. Both benches cleared when Hunt charged López. Both players have accepted their fate and will begin serving their suspensions immediately. Neither would talk to reporters about the confrontation. Currently Hunt is batting .321 with 8 home runs and 28 RBIs. He has made 5 relief appearances this year with 0 saves. López has achieved a 1-0 record while holding opposing hitters to a .292 batting average and posting a 6.17 ERA. He has tossed 11.2 innings, given up 14 base hits, fanned 3 and issued 4 walks. |
