Super Season, Burke Wins Most Valuable Player Award

Tom Burke of the Memphis Music had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Most Valuable Player Award for 2054.

The 20-year-old right fielder put up a .258 average and a .337 on-base percentage, piling up 84 hits, 11 doubles, 2 triples, 27 home runs, 54 RBIs and 61 runs scored.

He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 10. Steven Williams of the Northwest Territory Beavers finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Arnie Lowe of the Memphis Music finished third with 1 first place vote.
