Zoomies Stop Johnson at 20 Saturday, September 2nd , 2062 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for David Johnson as he saw his 20-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 3 at-bats at the hands of the Shady Side Zoomies. It wasn't all bad for the 20-year-old shortstop and the Philadelphia Liberty U-21 however, as they defeated Shady Side, 2-1, at Terriers Ballpark. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Johnson laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." This year, Johnson has batted at a .295 pace with 111 hits, 14 home runs, 40 RBIs and scored 68 times. |
