SA-'s Premier Player for 2061 Named
Monday, September 26th , 2061
At the age of 21, Dan Cook of the Philadelphia Liberty U-21 could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2061 was good enough to win the third baseman the USSL Low A Most Valuable Player Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .316 batting average this year, as well as a .405 on-base percentage. He played 89 games and racked up 108 hits, 35 doubles, no triples, 19 home runs, 50 RBIs and 72 runs scored.
He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 10. Jesse Miller of the Philadelphia Liberty U-21 finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while David Johnson of the Philadelphia Liberty U-21 finished third.
