No Late-Season Magic Coming: Beaumont Out of Playoffs Friday, September 6th , 2058 That they came exceptionally close to qualifying for the playoffs will likely provide little solace for fans of the Beaumont Crossbeaus -- the team was mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. "I don't expect the fans to be happy with us," said Crossbeaus starting pitcher Michael Carlson. "We're not happy with ourselves." This is the club's 6th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2046. In total, the Crossbeaus have missed the playoffs 15 times in their 17-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Crossbeaus have missed the playoffs 10 times. Beaumont last won the SL R Championship in 2043. |
