Leslie Gets No-Hitter Against Quebec City
Monday, May 22nd , 2062
The Maine Sea Dogs were just hoping for a solid outing from Charlie Leslie. Instead, they got something special.
The 20-year-old hurler tossed a no-hitter against the Quebec City Baby Blues, helping the Sea Dogs take the 6-0 win.
"I felt good throughout the game," he said after his spectacular outing for the Sea Dogs. "As I was going into the ninth inning, I wasn't nervous. I knew I had a chance to do something special."
Leslie's repertoire has a sinker, splitter, slider, fastball, and changeup, and he used it all to full advantage, keeping the Quebec City hitters off balance all game long. The Maine hurler fanned 3 and walked 1 in his history-making performance.
"His sinker looked about the size of a watermelon seed and it hissed at you as it passed," Quebec City manager Mauro Rangel joked after the game.
