Christian 5-for-6 for Memphis Saturday, July 28th , 2063 Even as a kid, James Christian said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Dodge Field, Christian showed how well he learned that lesson. The 21-year-old right fielder had 5 hits in 6 at-bats for the Memphis Music, helping his team knock off the North Ft. Myers Gators by a score of 8-7. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did." James Christian singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Fernando Hernández in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 10th.
