Rowdy Players Suspended by League Thursday, August 11th , 2061 After an intense confrontation, both the Canucks Vernon Adams and the Rams Elliott Halcomb were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Moose Jaw-Ladue game. Vernon Adams will miss 4 games, while Elliott Halcomb was suspended for 8 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Vernon Adams commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Adams is batting .262 with 8 home runs and 22 RBIs this season. Over the season Halcomb has thrown 70 innings and dished out 47 strikeouts with a 3-5 mark and a 3.99 ERA. |
