20-Game Hitting Streak for Vance Thursday, August 16th , 2057 Chalk up another one for Tijuana Toros shortstop Blaine Vance. He now has hit in 20 straight games. Vance went 2-for-3 in today's game at Dylan Park but saw his club defeated, 11-2, by the host Quebec City Baby Blues. "Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Toros manager Milton Mathews said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one." Blaine Vance struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd and tripled in the 5th. Vance is batting .340 this season in 79 games with 11 home runs, 33 RBIs and 51 runs scored. He has 110 hits in 324 at-bats. |
