No Late-Season Magic Coming: Long Island Out of Playoffs Monday, September 5th , 2061 The Long Island Ducks may feel they were as good as the playoff teams this year, but the club has ultimately fallen short of qualifying and will watch the postseason from the sidelines. "It's frustrating because we really feel like we could have given any of the teams a run for their money," said starting pitcher Julián Lucero. This is the club's 16th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2033. In total, the Ducks have missed the playoffs 17 times in their 18-year history. Long Island has won the 3L R Championship 2 times in their history. |
