Hit Streak for Moggs Reaches 25 Wednesday, August 2nd , 2062 Walt Moggs of the Long Island Ducks extended his hitting streak to 25 straight games with 1 hit in today's 6-3 triumph over the Greenport Harbor Whales at Ballpark of Robbins. "Walt has been making it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup every day," Ducks manager Cody Blackburn joked after the game. Walt Moggs flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 7th and walked in the 9th. Moggs is batting .320 with 15 home runs and 42 RBIs this season. |
