Harbor Whales End Moggs Streak Thursday, August 3rd , 2062 Walt Moggs's sizzling hitting streak was snapped at 25 games, as the Long Island Ducks dropped their contest with the Greenport Harbor Whales, 4-0, at Ballpark of Robbins. Moggs failed to get a hit, finishing 0-for-4. After the game Moggs spoke with BNN and called his effort "quite a streak." "I just ran into some good pitching today," he said. Moggs has a .315 average and a .365 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 93 hits, 15 home runs and driven in 42 runs. |
