3A-'s Best Player, Thompson of Long Island Monday, August 14th , 2062 The top batter in the M3L Low A last week was Max Thompson, who batted .542 and towered above everybody with a 6-game hitting barrage. During the week Thompson banged out a .542 batting average (13-for-24), 1 home run, 5 runs batted in and scored 6 runs. Today the Long Island first baseman received the 3A- Player of the Week Award. This year, Thompson has hit 13 home runs and posted a .284 batting average. |
