Howard Chard Sidelined for Season Saturday, May 12th , 2063 The doctors have spoken and Howard Chard of the Long Island Ducks didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Chard sustained his season-ending injury during the Ballard Beavers game yesterday at The Beaver Dam. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Long Island medical staff reported Chard had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12 months. |
