Lew Rips 3 Homers Against Shredders Wednesday, July 20th , 2061 Dane Lew brutalized the MSL Hollywood Shredders pitching staff, launching three home runs in the 11-3 MSL Baltimore victory at MSL Baltimore Ballpark. The MSL Baltimore Bullets shortstop was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 5-for-5 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Too much Dane Lew today," Shredders manager Ricardo López said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Dane Lew singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Sung-heun Kim in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Sung-heun Kim in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Héctor Serrano in the 8th. So far this season, Lew has gotten 36 hits in 96 at-bats for a .375 batting average with 12 home runs. His stats include 20 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has played in 26 games. |
