Robert Leuthold Hurt, Out for Year Saturday, August 8th , 2054
The season is apparently over for Robert Leuthold. The MSL New Orleans Voodoo medical staff informed the club that the starting pitcher will be out at least 11 months with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. Leuthold was hurt in the game against MSL Pittsburgh while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season.
This year Leuthold has fashioned a 1-0 mark, 5.59 ERA and pitched 9.2 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .256 against him and he has logged 9 strikeouts.
