Liberty Margiev Named PMSL's #1 Player Monday, September 3rd , 2063 MSL Philadelphia Liberty catcher Yefim Margiev walked away with the USPL Mexican Summer League Player of the Week Award today after putting up some impressive numbers over the past seven days. "The Liberty fans are really behind me right now," said the 17-year-old. "That helps. They give you the confidence to go out there and do better." Margiev batted .444 (4-for-9) with 2 home runs and 6 RBIs this week on his way to the award. Thus far this season in 47 games, Margiev is batting .258 with 4 home runs, 18 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He has 46 hits in 178 at-bats. |
