PMSL Best Skipper, Brooks of MSL Northern Virginia Saturday, September 16th , 2062 MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids field manager Leslie Brooks has brought a winning attitude to the team and the city. His no-nonsense approach, work ethic and baseball experience have paved the way for success. This season the Rainbow Mermaids parlayed his managerial skills and some talented ballplayers into a first place spot in the PL MSL standings. MSL Northern Virginia finished the year with a 30-18 record. To everybody's delight Brooks was voted the 2062 USPL Mexican Summer League Manager of the Year by the baseball writers. "Mr. Brooks doesn't take any nonsense. If you aren't doing your job, he's not afraid to call you on it," noted one of his ballplayers. "But the team wouldn't want to play for anyone else. He's tough, demanding, but he treats everyone fairly and doesn't play favorites. Nobody gets pampered on his ballclub." |
