#1 Pitcher Trophy Won by Patriots Wirt Saturday, September 17th , 2061 Patriots ace Jacob Wirt is the latest USPL Mexican Summer League Pitcher of the Year Award trophy winner. The MSL Boston star shined on the diamond time and again this year and finished with an outstanding 12-1 record. In 16 starts he tossed 111.1 innings, posted 103 strikeouts and sported a 1.94 ERA. Opposing batters hit .180 when Wirt was pitching. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Joe Blamey of the MSL Boston Patriots finished second in voting, while Jody Brown of the MSL Baltimore Bullets finished third.
