Arnold Jenkins Captures Prestigious Trophy

The future looks extremely bright for Arnold Jenkins. At the age of 18, many players are still trying to find their way in USPL Mexican Summer League.

Jenkins has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the USPL Mexican Summer League Most Valuable Player Award.

"I didn't expect to hit .393 this year, that's for sure," the center fielder said.

The MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids star also put up a .475 on-base percentage this year, with 75 hits, 25 doubles, 4 triples, 11 home runs, 34 RBIs and 34 runs scored.

He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 10. Dane Lew of the MSL Baltimore Bullets finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Reggie Aarsen of the MSL Baltimore Bullets finished third.
