Collins Scoops up PMSL Top Hurler Award Wednesday, September 17th , 2059 Marty Collins of the MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids impressed voters as one of the elite pitchers in the USPL Mexican Summer League this year. He capped off a sensational 10-3 season by taking home the coveted Pitcher of the Year Award today. Making 16 starts, he tossed 111.2 innings, struck out 93, walked 22 and registered a 2.01 ERA. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Wu-shiun Ong of the MSL New Orleans Voodoo finished second in voting, while Pepe ValentÃn of the MSL Toledo Stingers finished third.
