Kobayashi Pops 3 Out of the Park Against Pandas Monday, May 3rd , 2055 MSL Boston second baseman Nobuo Kobayashi blasted three homers today at MSL Boston Ballpark in the 11-9 Patriots victory over the MSL Montana Pandas. For the game, Nobuo Kobayashi scored 3 times and knocked in 7 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Kobayashi when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 4-for-9, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Kobayashi told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." Nobuo Kobayashi grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Aukthya Shalabh in the 5th, singled in the 8th, flied out in the 10th, hit a solo-shot off Gabriel Peña in the 12th, struck out in the 15th, grounded out in the 18th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Hirokazu Fukuda in the 19th. |
