Bernard Raps 3 HR Against Voodoo Monday, May 2nd , 2061 It was a good day for the MSL Baltimore Bullets and an exceptional one for Julián Bernard. The 18-year-old catcher sent three bombs out of the park to help the Bullets beat the MSL New Orleans Voodoo, 20-1, at MSL New Orleans Ballpark. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Bernard said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 4 times, drove in 8 runs and smacked 3 hits in 4 at-bats. Julián Bernard hit a three-run home run off José Salazar in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off José Salazar in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Walt Watkins in the 5th and flied out in the 7th. |
