Andrade Bombs 3 HR Against MSL St. Louis Sunday, May 27th , 2063 MSL Echo Park Lakers right fielder Ángel Andrade put on a dazzling display of power at MSL Echo Park Ballpark against the MSL St. Louis Coeur. In the 19-9 Lakers victory, Andrade penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts. "He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," MSL St. Louis manager Harunobu Matsushita said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well." Along with his three home runs, the 18-year-old had 5 hits in 6 at-bats, 9 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Andrade said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today." Ángel Andrade singled in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Qi-chao Wang in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Michinaga Imamura in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Juhani Siltala in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. This year, Andrade is batting .500 with 6 home runs. He has scored 12 runs and driven in 17. |
