Star of the Week Awarded in SMSL Monday, July 9th , 2063 Sergio Benítez punched, poked and pummeled the baseball last week and today he garnered a majority of the votes for the USSL Mexican Summer League Player of the Week award. The MSL Long Island Lighthouse left fielder slashed out a .538 average with 7 hits in 13 at-bats, 2 home runs and 6 RBIs. Hitting .290 to date, Benítez has 4 home runs and 17 RBIs.
