Evans Stretches Hit String to 20 Friday, July 14th , 2062 Chris Evans of the MSL Baltimore Bullets tagged 3 hits in today's 11-10 loss to the MSL Long Island Lighthouse at MSL Baltimore Ballpark to run his hitting streak to 20 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 20-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Chris Evans singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. In 30 games this season, Evans is batting .350 with 43 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 12 runs and driven in 24. |
