Gardner Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Sunday, July 20th , 2059 Alvin Gardner of the MSL Philadelphia Liberty has now hit safely in 20 straight games. He socked 3 hits in today's 9-6 triumph over MSL Mexico City at MSL Blue Demon Ballpark. "20 games is a big chunk of the year, isn't it?" Gardner said to reporters. "It's hard to wrap your head around." Alvin Gardner grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Xin Zhan in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and walked in the 9th. Gardner is batting .329 with 4 home runs and 19 RBIs this season. |
