Downing Named Top Reliever for SMSL Thursday, September 14th , 2062 At the young age of only 19, Brendon Downing has been named the USSL Mexican Summer League Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2062. The future appears bright for the MSL Mexico City Blue Demons relief ace, who captured the award with 2 saves in 15 relief appearances, 19 strikeouts in 27.1 innings and a record of 0-2 to go with his 1.65 ERA. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Chris Bailey of the MSL Las Vegas Flamingos finished second in voting, while Pavla Karzinkin of the MSL Mexico City Blue Demons finished third.
