SMSL's Best Pitcher is Bojórquez Friday, September 17th , 2060 Piranhas ace José Bojórquez is the latest USSL Mexican Summer League Pitcher of the Year Award trophy winner. The MSL Panama City star shined on the diamond time and again this year and finished with an outstanding 5-3 record. In 14 starts he tossed 82 innings, posted 73 strikeouts and sported a 1.43 ERA. Opposing batters hit .241 when Bojórquez was pitching. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Brett Baxter of the MSL Panama City Piranhas finished second in voting, while Bill Hewlett of the MSL Panama City Piranhas finished third.
