Tse Swats 3 Homers Friday, June 10th , 2061 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the MSL Charleston Battery. MSL Thunder Bay center fielder Hai-liang Tse tripled up on the home runs to propel the Northern Lions BC to a win, 18-11, at MSL Thunder Bay Ballpark. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," MSL Charleston manager Koryusai Ohayashi said. "Tse hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Tse collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 7 RBIs and scored 4 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Hai-liang Tse hit a three-run home run off Armando Torres in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Armando Torres in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Matvei Laenko in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a sac fly in the 7th. Thus far this season, Tse has hit .297 with 8 home runs, 15 RBIs and scored 16 times. |
