3-HR Day for Law Friday, July 20th , 2063 His swing was a thing of beauty. Three times Yuan-zhang Law swung the bat and three times he delivered a home run. It was an awesome sight to behold at MSL Detroit Ballpark, but to no avail, for as good as he was, the MSL Detroit Rock City were better. The MSL D.C. Divided couldn't capitalize on the big game from Law and dropped the contest, 13-10. The mood in the Divided clubhouse afterward was subdued, with several players remarking that they had allowed the Rock City to spoil the day for Law. "Some of the boys are beating themselves up about it," MSL D.C. manager Wessel Rosas said. "They know we win as a team and lose as a team, but it's hard to really put that idea into practice on a day when one of you was playing on such an obviously higher level." In addition to the homers, Law collected 7 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "I got three pitches down the pipe and popped them," the MSL D.C. center fielder told reporters. "Today I was in a groove. Tomorrow I could just pop the same pitches up and go 0-for-3." Yuan-zhang Law hit a two-run home run off Jorge Sandoval in the 1st, walked in a run in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Rutger Kohlund in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Geunhye Kim in the 9th. This year, Law is batting .348 with 12 home runs and 34 RBIs. In 32 games he has scored 28 times. |
