Burrell Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Friday, August 24th , 2063 With 2 hits at MSL D.C. Ballpark, Cole Burrell added another game to his hitting streak -- the MSL D.C. second baseman has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Divided, as they fell, 5-4, to the MSL Nova Scotia Leviathan. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," MSL Nova Scotia manager Dominic McIntyre said later. "I'll let him get 4 hits in 4 at-bats if it means we get a win." Cole Burrell singled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Burrell is currently hitting at a .318 pace with 6 home runs and 17 RBIs. |
