The hard-working and hard-playing Andrés Varela was rewarded with the M3L Mexican Summer League Player of the Week honors. The scrappy MSL Charleston Battery left fielder hit .667 while collecting 6 hits in 9 at-bats, 1 home run and 1 RBIs. So far on the season Varela is hitting .261 with 4 home runs, 8 RBIs and 14 runs scored. He has 24 hits and played in 37 games. |
