MSL Charleston's Starter Receives 3MSL Pitching Award Tuesday, September 1st , 2054 Juan Carlos Rodríguez hated to see August turn to September. And who could blame him? The 18-year-old hurler piled up 3 wins and no losses for the Battery last month and won the M3L Mexican Summer League Pitcher of the Month award for his efforts. Rodríguez stymied opposing batters on 15 base hits and a .172 batting average. He rang up 30 strikeouts in 24.1 innings of work, surrendered 3 walks and fashioned a sparkling 0.37 ERA.
