August's Top Hurler is Simmons Friday, September 1st , 2062 Ty Simmons of the Hurricanes bewildered opposing batters in August and was honored as the M3L Mexican Summer League Pitcher of the Month earlier today. The MSL Cape Coral starter sparkled last month with a 3-0 record and 1.77 ERA. He made 3 starts, tossed 20.1 innings and had 18 strikeouts. So far this year, Simmons has made 13 starts, tossed 83 innings, struck out 61 batters and walked 34. His record is 8-2 with a 2.71 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .252 batting average. |
