Vardakastanis Nabs 3MSL Most Valuable Player Award Wednesday, September 19th , 2063 Joseph Vardakastanis took M3L Mexican Summer League by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 19. For his spectacular campaign, the MSL Nova Scotia Leviathan star has been named the 2063 M3L Mexican Summer League Most Valuable Player Award recipient. "To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the shortstop. On the season he compiled a .408 batting average to go with a .477 on-base percentage. The native of Catalina Foothills, Arizona also added 16 doubles, 2 triples, 17 home runs, 50 RBIs and 47 runs scored. He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 12. Malcolm Middle of the MSL Baltimore Bullets finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while César Garza of the MSL Dayton Dirty Reds finished third.
