With third baseman Jake White leading the charge, the Echo Park Lakers defeated the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 8-1, at LA Forum. White, who finished 5th in the 3L in home runs with 25 in 2048, went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Roberto Chaumond got the win, improving to 1-0. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 4 hits and 1 run, while striking out 4 and walking 0. The loss puts Nova Scotia at 2-2.

Donald Anderson had a big 3-run home run for the Lakers in the bottom of the third inning. With Echo Park leading 3-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he sized up a fastball from Jorge Valdéz, who finished 2nd in the 3L in saves with 32 in 2053, and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Lakers on top, 6-0.

"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," White told the Echo Park Observer.
