The Oakland Oaks topped the Long Island Lighthouse, 4-3, in Menard's Third League action at The Oak Grove. The game was highlighted by the performance of Oakland pitcher Larry Lambert. Getting the save was Steven Collier, his 4th. The loss puts Long Island at 6-6.

Brett Taylor swatted a solo home run for Oakland in the bottom of the seventh. The shortstop went 2 for 3 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 1.
