Kingston Ponies starter Anthon Arents hurled his team past the Detroit Rock City, 7-2. Kingston reliever Anthon Arents got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Chris Morris was tagged with the loss. Detroit, now 3-13, has gotten off to a terrible start.
Phil Tillman helped out the Kingston cause in the top of the fifth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the third baseman was 1 for 4 with a walk.
