A 5-RBI performance from designated hitter Edward Blakemore, who is tied for 8th in the 3L in total bases with 35, led the Long Island Lighthouse to a win over the Charleston Battery, 11-2. The win puts Long Island at 9-8.

With Long Island leading 7-2 in the bottom of the eighth, Blakemore batted against Charleston pitcher Javier Camacho. Blakemore hit a cutter to left for a grand slam home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Lighthouse on top, 11-2.

Charleston manager Matt Hunt said "nothing went right"in the blowout loss.
