Dayton left fielder Roberto Soto had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Cape Coral Hurricanes, 7-2. The winner was Glenn Hughes, who threw 118 pitches over 8 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 5 hits. Now 16-4, the 2063 Dirty Reds have been sensational so far.

Soto had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 2-2 cutter from Harry Marshall, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Dirty Reds a 3-1 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Soto.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Soto told the Dayton Bulletin. "Whatever it takes."
