The Kingston Ponies converted a terrific effort from starter Li-ping Cheng into a win over the Nova Scotia Leviathan at The Dungeon in Halifax. The Ponies won the game by a final score of 7-2. The loss drops Nova Scotia to 8-13.

Kingston used a clutch at-bat from Júlio Gil to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Ponies ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Cheng called the win "a collective effort."
