Leviathan Get Past Long Island for 1-0 Win
|
Nova Scotia starter Dan Cortés pitched well against the Long Island Lighthouse at The Dungeon in Halifax. The right-hander led his team to a win, 1-0. Picking up his 6th save was 13-year veteran John Ellis. Nova Scotia is in 11th place in the Third League with a record of 8-14.
Feitze Lammers had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the eighth. The Nova Scotia right fielder came through with a run-scoring single to put Nova Scotia in front, 1-0.
Lammers attributed the win to "making big pitches in big moments."
