Thunderbirds Suffer One-Run Loss at Pawnee
|
Pawnee registered a win at Whips Ballpark by beating the Hamilton Thunderbirds, 5-4. Pitcher John Parker was one reason why the ParksNRec triumphed. Parker got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 9 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 3 runs. The defeat makes Hamilton 1-3.
Neil Pippy, the Pawnee shortstop, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 5-1, ParksNRec. For the game, Pippy went 1-2 with 2 walks.
