Superb Year for King, Wins Outstanding Hitter Award
Monday, October 7th , 2058
He may have less experience than most of his M3L Triple A peers, but that didn't slow Mark King down at all in 2058.
At the age of 23, the Monongahela right fielder has been named the winner of the M3L Triple A Outstanding Hitter Award.
He had a .312 batting average and a .425 on-base percentage this year. In 102 games he piled up 119 hits, 22 doubles, 8 triples, 19 home runs, 77 RBIs and 76 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Kelsey Tate of the Monongahela Monsters finished second in voting, while Jesús Molina of the Vermont Lake Monsters finished third.
