Hartford's Garrett Takes 2061 Outstanding Hitter Award

Ted Garrett of the Hartford Pride had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2061.

The 24-year-old left fielder put up a .368 average and a .451 on-base percentage, piling up 146 hits, 19 doubles, 3 triples, 22 home runs, 92 RBIs and 87 runs scored.

He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Cristo González of the Florida Men finished second in voting, while Robert Block of the Sunset District Fog finished third.

King of the Hill Announced by M3L Triple A

He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Thad Willis performed like a veteran on the hill for the Ft. Myers Marlins and walked away with the M3L Triple A Outstanding Pitcher Award in the process.

The 25-year-old Marlins star fashioned a 11-6 won-loss record in 2061 with a 3.07 ERA. In 164.1 innings of work and 21 starts, Willis struck out 137 while giving up 150 hits and 33 walks. He held opposing batters to a .245 average.

He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Alvin Buchanan of the Port Royal Disaster finished second in voting, while Masato Rin of the Salt Lake City Buzz finished third.
