Black Mambas Get Better of Fog, 8-2
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Austin Black Mambas and Sunset District Fog.
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 23-year old right fielder Titus Andromedon, the Austin Black Mambas stopped the Sunset District Fog, 8-2, in 9 innings. Alejandro Paboal earned the save, his 1st, for the Black Mambas.
Austin used a well-timed hit by Roy Bell to capture the win. The second baseman socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Black Mambas ahead, 6-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"I thought we played a nice game," Andromedon told the Austin Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
The win has Austin at 3-2.
