The Pawnee ParksNRec topped the Port Royal Disaster, 10-4, with catcher Luis Hernández playing a big role. Hernández slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the ParksNRec in the win. John Willis got the win, improving to 1-0. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 4 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 4. Port Royal is 2-3 after the loss.
Pawnee designated hitter Terry Brown contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a knuckle curve to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 6th hit of the season and put the ParksNRec ahead, 6-3.
