Thanks in large part to left fielder Gazmir Sapunxiu, the Pawnee ParksNRec beat the Hudson Bay Redwoods, 7-5. Sapunxiu was 3 for 4 with 3 singles. The win belonged to Joe Burkett in relief. His record improves to 1-1. David García took the loss for Hudson Bay. The loss drops Hudson Bay to 3-4.

Pawnee got a knockout punch from Iestyn Tuxford. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Tuxford.
